What type of lawyer should I become? How much does it pay?

I want to go to college to study law but i'm not sure which type of law i like best. I want to spend as little time in the courtroom as possible. People have mentioned a divorce lawyer or and insurance lawyer before. If you can provide a description of what that particular lawyer does that would be great. Also i would like to know a general idea of how much the pay is.

A corporate lawyer. Companies like wal mart, etc. will keep you on retainer in case they get sued. You will have a steady and huge paycheck, rather than representing individual clients in payout lawsuits which you may or may not win.

Well please note: Please extract "Wal mart" from my answer, and insert another random corporation that DOES keep "corporate" attorneys on retainer.

1. No matter what you decide now, you'll change your mind in law school! If you wish to avoid spending time in a courtroom, business law is probably for you. But, you may find that you actually like trials.

2. Beware the $$$. It is VERY misleading, what you read about lawyer salaries. Most are not nearly as high as people want you to believe. Also, law school purposely Over-Report their graduate's salaries in order to entice you to apply at those schools.

3. When considering a law school, GO VISIT! Sit in on a class or two. Take the time to talk to the students, not just the tour that the school arranges for you. Ask the schools for a list of graduates that you can contact and ask about those students' experiences. Take the time to see the community in which the school is located. Sure, Harvard is a prestigious name, but quite frankly you may despise the people and lifestyle once you get there. Nip that problem in the bud by visiting, talking to students, and seeing the area as well.

Please note - Corporations like Wal-Mart (which is 15 minutes from where I live), do NOT keep attorney's on retainer. Wal-Mart and Tyson Foods both have a large staff of attorneys who specialize in particular areas, such as: real estate, payments law, secured transactions, labor and employment, securities regulations, insurance, contracts, and torts.

dude,we do not need another attorney ! if you insist, study patent law.

chera minha pica seu boi is baitiolaaa
